Child safety standards
Blink's standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE).
Zero tolerance
Blink has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Blink is for adults 18 and over. We don't allow:
- any sexual content involving someone under 18, whether real, drawn or AI-made
- grooming, or sexual talk with or requests to a minor
- sextortion, or threatening to share intimate images
- trafficking, or sharing, asking for or linking to CSAM
How we prevent it
Everyone gives a date of birth at sign-up, and the app turns away anyone under 18. Every post, comment and message goes through a text filter as it's written, and every image and video is checked against a blocklist of banned media before anyone can see it. A person reviews every report.
What we do
When we find CSAE or are told about it, we remove it and permanently ban the account, along with every mask it used. We keep the material as the law requires, report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through its CyberTipline, and cooperate with law enforcement.
How to report
In the app, tap Report on the post, comment, profile, conversation or room message (the three-dot menu, the conversation's menu, or a long press on a room message) and choose Sexual content or Underage user. Or email safety@sayblink.app. If a child is in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number. You can also report to NCMEC directly at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678.
