Blink

Community guidelines

What you can post, what you can’t, and what happens when a rule is broken.

What this is for

Last updated 29 September 2026.

Blink is for posting whatever you’d post on any other social app, masked or as yourself: what’s going on with you, opinions, drama, venting, questions, jokes, stories, all of it. These rules are the kind you’ll find on any social app, and they exist so that masks don’t get used to hurt people.

Not allowed

Exposing private people. Don’t post names, faces, handles, addresses, workplaces or anything else that identifies a private person without their consent, and don’t spread rumours about someone people could recognise. Public figures can be criticised, even harshly, but not threatened or harassed.

Unmasking. Don’t try to work out who is behind a mask, ask others to, or go after someone because of a mask they used.

Harassment and bullying. No personal attacks, piling on, sexual harassment, or contacting someone who has blocked you. Arguing with someone’s opinions, however hard, isn’t harassment.

Hate. Don’t attack people for their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or illness.

Threats and violence. No threats, even as a joke, and no encouraging violence.

Sexual content. Talking about sex is fine. Nudity, pornography and sexual solicitation aren’t. Anything sexual involving anyone under 18 means a permanent ban and may be reported to the authorities. Never post an intimate image of someone without their consent, including fakes. If an intimate image of you has been posted, email safety@sayblink.app and we’ll remove it.

Self-harm. You can talk about what you’re going through. Don’t encourage self-harm or eating disorders, share methods, or mock people for them. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.

Drugs and dangerous activity. Talking about drinking or drugs is fine. Selling, buying, giving instructions, or promoting dangerous challenges isn’t.

Spam and scams. No promotion, link drops, bots, fake engagement, giveaways or scams.

Impersonation and other people’s work. Masks are fine. Pretending to be a specific real person isn’t. Only post content you have the right to share.

Enforcement

We use automated systems and human review, and content may be filtered, held or removed. Report and Block are on every post, comment, profile, message and room, and we can review reports even after a post has expired.

Depending on what happened, we remove the content or restrict, suspend or ban the account. Sexual content involving minors, intimate images shared without consent, and threats to someone’s life mean a permanent ban. If we take action on your account, you can appeal from Settings, Account status.

Age

Blink is 18+. If you think someone under 18 has an account, email safety@sayblink.app.
